Tomorrow night, Stuzzicheria, the Tribeca offshoot of Flatiron Italian restaurant Bar Stuzzichini, opens to the public down on Church Street. Much like its sister restaurant, the vibe here is laid back, the decor simple and rustic. It's a small place (50 seats) for an affordable Italian snack or meal with some good wine. In charge of the menu is Mike Franzetti, an alum of Maremma and Washington Park and a 10 year vet of Bar Stuzzichini. Get salads, bar snacks like olives and fried artichokes, arancini and meatballs, as well as pastas and mains like short rib braciole, breaded swordfish, and meats from an apparently rare orange Fly Wheel slicer. Nothing is over $20.
Dinner runs 5 - 11 PM (until 1 AM on Thurs - Sat), and there is a seven day a week happy hour from 4 - 7—order any large draft beer/cocktail & get a complimentary order of Stuzzichini (snacks). No limit.
