Jelly NYC, producer of the infamous Williamsburg Pool Parties, has been forced to cancel the August 29th event due to financial trouble and will no longer be hosting free concerts on the East River Waterfront. While the event lost some of its luster when it was forced to relocate from McCarren Park last summer, the free shows were still a great way to spend a Sunday. Open Space Alliance will continue to promote ticketed events at the site, while Jelly will concentrate on its own music series at their new venue, The Rock Yard. [NYP]
