Ma Peche Gives In, Accepts Standard Reservations

When Ma Peche opened earlier this year, many wondered if David Chang's Midtown newcomer could get away with a no reservations policy. It's different culture up there in the world of business lunches, expense accounts, curtain times, and the like. In May, they started taking online resys for their large format meal, Beef 7 Ways. And then a month later, as a much bigger consolation, they opened up reserved slots for prix-fixe lunch and pre-theater dinner. Now, the ice is finally melting: they've expanded to feature "standard reservations," offering the slightly better options of 5, 7, and 10 PM. Want an 8:30 slot? Better be a walk in.
