It may not be Park Slope's best—or apparently cleanest—dining establishment, but it sure is a fixture. Purity Diner, a greasy spoon that has been in the neighborhood, though in two different spots, for decades, was shuttered by the DOH after racking up a whopping 76 violation points during an inspection last week. The violations included an abundance of "filth flies," live roaches, a lack of sufficient hand washing sinks, and a slew of other "critical" errors.
Meanwhile, on the 12th, the Grand Sichuan on Lex and 33rd was hit with 52 violation points.
