MARIANIWIREEsquire's John Mariani
lists seven deadly restaurant sins, and most of them are standard complaints: bad reservation policies, padded bills, cheap glassware, etc. He gets pretty violent when it comes to hosts, though! The "only solution" for a VIP-schmoozing host is to "wait for him outside with a baseball bat," and managers who notice hosts accepting bribes ought to "force those brigands out with a boning knife." Sounds like someone has a grudge. [Esquire via Eater National]

MIDTOWN—Feast hears that the Dean & Deluca in Rock Center is closing on August 24th or 25th to make way for the previously announced Bouchon Bakery. [Feast]
