Santo, a boom boom nightclub in Miami, have set their eyes on a New York expansion. The owners, Sofa Entertainment, originally got their start in Mexico and have secured a lease for a space currently used as a furniture store at the corner of Greenwich and Spring Street, right near the soon to re-open Don Hills. In a shocking turn of events, the community is up in arms over the proposal, and have papered the neighborhood with fliers saying the area "does not needs such a large late night venue." So Miami gets LeBron and New York gets Santo? Not a fair trade. [GS]
