Rumors have persisted for months that Danny Meyer is taking over two spaces in the Embassy Suites complex owned by Goldman Sachs down in Battery Park City. The rumors have been fueled not only by restaurant industry tipsters but also people on the ground who have spotted Mr. Meyer surveying the area.

Now, it has long been suggested that DM was planning another Shake Shack for the neighborhood. It makes sense given he has practically every other area covered. But what of the second space? From the tipline today, following this morning's sighting: "Blue Smoke at Goldmans BPC building is on! I know the Blue Smoke is a casual lunch take out spot. Like a Blue Smoke To Go idea.
