Gael Greene reports that 30 Rock landlord Tishman Speyer has given up on its search to find new operators for the iconic Rainbow Room. Instead, she says they're going to operate it themselves. Greene writes that consultant Elizabeth Blau—who had a big hand in revamping Vegas into a culinary destination— has taken over duties revamping the place.
Meanwhile the former man in charge, chef-consultant Barry Wine, left the job at the end of his contract this year. He never managed to score a tenant for the Rainbow Room space but he did ink the deal with other Rock Center newcomers—Thomas Keller at Bouchon and Stephen Hanson at Bill's Bar & Burger.
