Today, The Cuozz files a column with some updates on Daniel Boulud's new restaurant next to Bar Boulud on the Upper West Side. A couple of months ago the chef said this restaurant would be a departure of sorts for him, and that could be the case. The yet to be named restaurant will be "French-inspired, grill-themed" with a big bar for drinking. It will be healthy, with "Mediterranean and other influences" and an open kitchen. And all in, it will seat 150.
Cuozzo goes on to say that this development is just the latest signal of the rebirth of high-end Upper West Side eating.
