Summer Tracking: Artichoke West Just Three Weeks Away

A crucial update from the heart of the High Line district, where Sal Basille and Francis Garcia and the Strategic Group have been working on the full restaurant version of their infamous Artichoke PIzza. Renovations of the former Red Rock space have been underway for nine months and is nearly finished, with the pizza ovens arriving for installation last week. There is still about three weeks of work remaining, with an opening targeted for early August.

Also, an employee at sister restaurant This Little Piggy Had Roast Beef recently told us that the main restaurant will serve 12'' personal pies, and that the adjoining slice shop will be called "Artichoke Leaf." Might this project be enough to help Artichoke remove itself from the list of New York's most confounding lines?
