Gael Greene reports that Ben Demarchelier and his father Eric (who owns Demarchelier in Midtown) are opening a small restaurant on the Lower East Side next Wednesday at 188 Suffolk St. The restaurant will have 55 seats, a rotating list of cocktails, and will offer menu items "from Grandma Demarchelier’s charcuterie and duck rillettes to Welsh rarebit...Camembert fondue and small portions of fish cooked in papillote." It is called Oubli and will serve food until 4 AM. [IC]
