CB2 Approves Fedora Takeover as Regulars Say Goodbye

As expected, given the committee's unanimous approval earlier this month, the full board of Community Board 2 approved restaurateur Gabe Stulman's plans to take over Village oldtimer Fedora (see the signage outside his restaurant Joseph Leonard above). Meanwhile, both Jeremiah's Vanishing New York and Walkers in the City pay visits to the restaurant's matriarch, noting, "With news of the upcoming closure, people have come to say goodbye. They take pictures and pose with Mrs. Dorato who, at 90, is still busing the tables." It closes for good on July 25.
