Back in October, news broke that the owners of MePa restaurant and party brunch destination Bagatelle were taking over the former Atria space on East 54th Street. Atria only lasted four months after it replaced Gray Kunz's namesake, the troubled two year-old Grayz. The Bagatelle team hopes to have better luck with La Petite Maison.
The restaurant, scheduled for early September, is a branch of a restaurant in Nice that is (according to the press release) "a favorite of Elton John." The chef in charge is Nicole Rubi, who will attempt to translate her Nicoise fare stateside. No word yet on whether they'll keep the scrollatropes (above).
