Earlier today, the workers at Taavo Somer and William Tigertt's Freemans spinoff/American Diner on the Bowery removed the plywood from the windows, revealing a still under construction but still pretty gorgeous interior. From the looks of it they've got a new pressed tin ceiling, a display case a la Marlow and Sons or Prime Meats, plenty of bright white detailing, a new wood floor, and a wall of mirrors. This is going to be a real fall opening to watch.
The real question now is: what does the second floor look like?
