1) Murray Hill: A tipster sends word that burger joint Zaitzeff is expanding to Murray Hill. New signage has gone up on 2nd Avenue between 38th and 39th Street. [PLYWOOD]

2) Hell's Kitchen: Life with Food and Drink reports that Village Pourhouse is expanding to Hell's Kitchen. Their new banner just went up on West 46th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues. [PLYWOOD]

3) Gramercy: A branch of Beecher's, a Seattle based cheese shop is opening on Broadway and 20th.

4) Nolita: "Gourmet Indian Fusion" restaurant Liebe is opening next to Pinche Taqueria on Mott St between Prince and Spring Sts. [PLYWOOD]

5) East Village: EV Grieve has exterior shots of a mystery place on 7th St near Avenue B. Some say it's going to be a burger place, while others say it will serve Mediterranean food. Let's hope they serve Mediterranean burgers so everyone can rest easy. [PLYWOOD]

6) Cobble Hill: Cobble Hill Blog notes that the insides have been revealed at a new restaurant from the owners of Bocca Lupo coming to 270 Court St. [PLYWOOD]

7) Union Square: A tipster writes in to say that D.C.-based Bourbon Coffee is building out the old Mr. Skewer space at 43 West 14th St. [PLYWOOD]

8) Lower East Side: Bowery Boogie brings word that the new bar and music venue coming to 152 Orchard St has a name, Backstage. [PLYWOOD]

9) Morningside Heights: More details have emerged about Mel's Burger Bar, the beef patty emporium coming to 2850 Broadway. The project is the brainchild of consulting chef Rich Robson of Rue 57, as well as Nick Tsoulos and Nick Pashalis of Patsy's Pizza, Angelo's Pizza and Goodburger. Projected opening August 10th.
