It's not so exciting, is a terrible choice in terms of S.E.O, and sounds anything but Italian, but at least they've picked something. Jonathan Benno's $20 million, green-roofed Lincoln Center restaurant will be called Lincoln when it debuts this December. Almost as good as the reader suggestions of Lincolncello and The Lincoln Center Cafeteria. He and the principals in the Patina Group spent months going over potential names, including Prato, Sud, Amoore, and Lincoln Green, which we all rejected for one reason or another.
Again, as long as it's not Dogwinkle, they should be fine.
