MEDIA EXODUS—A major editorial shake up at Time Out New York's food section: "Gabriella Gershenson, TONY's Eat Out editor since 2006, has been named senior editor at Saveur" and "Eat Out writer Daniel Gritzer is moving over to Food & Wine, where he'll be an associate editor." WEST VILLAGE—Scottish gastropub Highlands is hosting a whisky-paired tapas dinner featuring Highland Park Scotch Whisky. Chef Will Hickox will pair a flight whiskies with a selection of small plates inspired by Spain, the location where the distillery sources its sherry casks. It takes place on Tuesday, July 27 at 7 PM and 9:30 PM. Dinner is $55 a head. [EaterWire]

EAST VILLAGE— Apparently, Whitman's in the East Village is serving up quite the burger. Inspired by the original Juicy Lucys in the Midwest, this version is made with La Frieda beef and stuffed with pimento cheese. The restaurant is also set to open a more formal lower level dining room in the coming months. [DManBurger]
