1) Flatiron: As mentioned on Friday, Nuela, a large pan-Latino restaurant from chef Adam Schop, opens tonight. And it's very red! Drop us a line if you get a chance to try any of their ceviches. Status: Certified Open; 3 West 24th St., 212-929-1200.

2) Upper East Side: Tiella, a new Italian restaurant named after a kind of Neopolitan cast iron pan, opens today on the Upper East Side. Most of the menu comes from the wood burning oven, including pizzas, panini, and whole baby chicken al forno. There are also pastas, salads, and larger fish and meat mains. The chef, Guiseppe Castellano, has a large following in Cambridge, MA. Status: Certified Open; 1109 First Ave., 212-588-0100.

3) Kips Bay: New French bistro Le Parisien opened last week, according to Kips Bay & Beyond. It looks somewhat run of the mill, but it's welcome in the neighborhood. Status: Certified Open; 33rd St. btw Lexington and 3rd Ave.
