New Green Cupcakerie to Hit Nolita; DIY Delivery in Harlem

HARLEM— A group of Harlem marketing men tired of the takeout options in the nabe have launched Harlem Delivers, a DIY delivery operation now working with four area restaurants. The goal is to increase the list to 30 - 50 restos and market to the big new developments between 145th Street and 149th Sts. and Frederick Douglass Boulevard to Edgecombe Avenue. [Grub Street]

EAST VILLAGE— Jimmy's No. 43 is hosting a pie-off. Competitors include Betty Brooklyn, First Prize Pies, Four and Twenty Blackbirds, and SCRATCHbread. Tickets are $20 and proceeds go to BK Farmyards. [FitR]

NOLITAThe Little Cupcake Bakeshop, a cupcakerie in deep Brooklyn, is opening a branch in Nolita on the southeast corner of Prince and Mott Streets. It will offer cupcakes, specialty cakes, and ice cream and will feature a cafe and standalone espresso bar. They are also pursuing LEED certification. [EaterWire]
