Superdive, Now with Wet T-Shirt Contests, Somehow Lives On

New, 2 comments

It's pretty impossible to keep a story straight when it comes to Superdive, the most unusual bar of all time. Last we heard, they were vacating their troubled 200 Avenue A space at the end of last month to expand to the Lower East Side and Murray Hill. The property appeared on the Community Board 3 docket, and it seemed like a transfer was in order. But no! Superdive is now off the agenda, and they remain wide open on weekends (still, just weekends) and just sent in an email to reveal what's in store for the summer:

Thursdays: 7:30 beerpong tournament. Cost of entry is the beer you drink during the tourney. Winning team drinks for free all night. After the tourney we celebrate with live music and karaoke.

Fridays: Wet T-shirt contest, with a male AND female winner of $100 cash each and free drinks.

Saturdays: Endless Champagne Disco Ball. 11-1 $25 all you can drink champagne. Music by world-class Disco DJ, Christian.

That sounds about right.
