A walk down Berry Street revealed that Viva El Toro, the split level restaurant next to Radegast, had finally open for business. A pop in revealed a long bar with a few TV's showing baseball to a sparse Monday night crowd. But that's when it came into view. At the top of a small set of stairs was the machine that changed North Williamsburg forever. El Toro. A mechanical effing bull. This guy in the Netherlands jersey decided to celebrate a Dutch World Cup victory by hopping on the bull, waving around the restaurant supplied cowboy hat as his friends laughed and screamed things like "ride em cowboy". Viva El Toro's kitchen will stay open until 11 PM, and the bar will usually be open until 4 AM. Much more to come.
