The Guggenheim museum is asking permission from the Landmarks Commission to place a high end food cart at its 5th Avenue entrance. The news comes just a week after the Parks Dept. announced it will seek a group of food carts for the sad, sunken shell of the once great Tavern on the Green. These uptown old fogies want to get with the hip trends too!
The Guggenheim stand will, the museum hopes, replace the dirty water dog vendor that parks nearby, and will include an outdoor kiosk with a few tables and chairs. Restaurant Associates, which runs the museum's new restaurants The Wright and Cafe 3 would run the show.
