Posh Bakery Mini-Chain Financier to Hit East Village

Financier Patisserie, a fancy little bakery that began as an adorable FiDi lunch and dessert destination a few years ago and quickly grew into a Manhattan mini-chain is finally invading the East Village. Its seventh location will take over the recently shuttered Coldstone Creamery/The Original Soupman mashup on 2 Astor Place in the near future. The bakery has three locations way downtown, and three locations in Midtown, obviously focusing on major work centers. Now, they're looking to the rest of the city.
