City Marshals Descend on One Year-Old LES Spot Fat Hippo

It will surprise few on the Lower East Side to learn that Fat Hippo, the year-old restaurant in the old 71 Clinton Fresh Food space, was seized by the City Marshal. Remember, this is the restaurant that served burger fondue. Said blog Always Hungry on the place: "...the ribs looked muddy and tasted like mud...one of the worst ribs we’ve ever had...the lurking, unkempt owner holding court at his empty bar was unfit to run a restaurant."
