Swarm of 15,000 Bees Tries to Take Down Cipriani Wall Street

New, 5 comments

Enraged over the high prices and lackluster food, a colony of 15,000 bees swarmed the restaurant and banquet hall Cipriani Wall Street on Monday, frightening Wall Streeters, tourists, and presumably, the restaurant workers inside. The NYPD had to cordon off the block and call in the city's resident bee wrangler, NYPD officer Anthony Planakis, who sucked them all up with a vacuum. Palankis said they are being shipped off to a bee farm in Connecticut. (We all know what that means.)

Interestingly enough, a similar incident occurred just last year at Game Stop in Union Square.
