1) Midtown East: Midtown Lunch brings word of an intriguing new spot called Edibowl that touts itself on its twitter as "Momofuku meets Chipotle." As ML points out, this concept has actually already been tried: the ill-fated "Korean burrito" concept that Ssam Bar originally featured when it opened. However, David Chang has long contended the concept would have worked better in a high-traffic lunch spot like Midtown. We'll see when the "global food chain" opens its doors in June. [PLYWOOD]

2) Williamsburg: Brownstowner spots new signage for a new restaurant called Fat Goose on the corner of Wythe Avenue and North 8th street in Williamsburg. Commenters speculate that the spot is from the owner of neighborhood bar Lazy Catfish. [PLYWOOD]

3) Midtown East: Midtown Lunch grabs pictures of signs for a second branch of Hello Pasta, the new Chipotle-like pasta chain that is planning a full-fledged ten location invasion of New York. The second location will be located on 3rd Avenue between 44th and 45th streets, just ten blocks away from the first location that opens next month. [PLYWOOD]

4) DUMBO: DumboNYC reports that a new beer garden spot called Brooklyn Bridge Gardens is opening in the former 5 Front space, as soon as next week. The new garden will enjoy very close proximity to the new Brooklyn Bridge Park's Pier 1. [PLYWOOD]

5) Cobble Hill Also on the beer front, Brownstowner notices construction for the alliteration-happy Beer Bar Bistro happening at 270 Court Street, in a restaurant-filled stretch of Cobble Hill. [PLYWOOD]

6) Tribeca Mary Ann's, the Mexican restaurant chainlet, will open a fourth location in the former Yaffa space at 107 West Broadway this weekend, according to Tribeca Citizen. [PLYWOOD]

7) NoHo & MePa: Bowery Boogie reports that bakery chain Le Pain Quotidien is moving into 65 Bleecker Street, its 21st location in the city. They also have one moving next to Old Homestead Steakhouse over in MePa. [PLYWOOD]

8) Lower East Side: In more chain news, Bowery Boogie notices that the Subway coming to 66 Delancey has erected one of its signature banners in the store's scaffolding. [PLYWOOD]

9) Cobble Hill: Lost City snaps a shot of Burro Cafe, a new Mexican spot opening next week at 127 Columbia Street in the old Pit Stop space. [PLYWOOD]
