NY Hot Dog & Coffee 'Moves,' Doghouse Saloon 'Renovates'

Welcome back to the Friday Shutter. Know of any other restaurant that has met its demise? Let us know.

2010_05_nyhotdogshutter.jpg1) West Village: According to a sign in the window, New York Hot Dog & Coffee, the year and a half old bizarre mashup that actually got a surprising amount of positive buzz (as in 146 Yelp reviews) for its creative dogs, is closed. The signage says to check the website to see where they moved to, but the site has yet to be updated. The phone is also disconnected. Says our tipster, "Seriously, best hot dogs ever. help!!"

2) Lower East Side: Bowery Boogie reports that Doghouse Saloon at 152 Orchard St. has closed for renovations. They'll reopen in June. [BB]
