In today's Metropolitan Diary, a New Yorker is stopped on the street and asked, "'Do you know where the Polka Dot Cow is?' I had to admit I had never heard of it, but they persisted, adding that it was supposed to be a very good 'burger joint.' I thought for a bit and asked if they meant the Spotted Pig. They lit up with recognition and said, 'Yes, that’s it!' The three of us shared a loud laugh." [NYT]
