Lost Finale Mania Hits New York Bars and Restos

New, 3 comments

All non cave dwellers know that last night, the biggest television event of all time went down: the season finale of Lost. Of course, the epicenter of all Lost viewing in the East Village for the past six years—the bar Professor Thom's—was a total mob scene. Above is a view of the scene outside the place at 6 PM last night. In addition to a standard, first-come-first-serve viewing party in the bar's “loft space,” Professor Thom's also held a $20 ticketed event that granted fans access to premium tables and an outdoor pig roast. Also: on the space’s balcony, three guys attempted to break a Guinness world record for single-sitting TV watching, by viewing all 94 hours of the show leading up to the finale.

Meanwhile, in Williamsburg, Vinnie’s Pizzeria — which proudly hangs a Dharma initiative “Welcome New Recruits” banner on its wall— offered a special Lost-themed pie all day that featured: "SUN-dried toKATEtoes, sautéed JINaich, JACKaroni noodles and cheDHARMA cheese, (ask for a SAID of SAWYERnara sauace)." As a special sandwich, Vinie’s was also hawking a Meatball DHARMAgiana sub.
