Flo Fab reports that O'Neal's, the Irish pub on West 64th and West 65th streets, will close next week and will be replaced in August with a new location of restaurateur Stephen Hanson's Upper East Side sushi and seafood spot Atlantic Grill. Restaurateur Michael O'Neal has owned a restaurant in the space for the last 46 years—it was called the Ginger Man before it changed to the pub seven years ago. Check out this ad on the place in '67. So it's a bittersweet departure.
Atlantic Grill Lincoln Center will have a whopping 250 seats and should open not too long after the debut of Hanson's behemoth burger palace, Bill's Bar & Burger Rock Center.
