The cruel, harsh world of restaurants. EV Grieve reports that Matsukado, a little family owned Japanese small plates spot that opened back in January on 2nd Avenue, is closed. And they owe $30,000 in back rent.

It did manage to amass 38 Yelp reviews, so there was some business. But on average, they didn't much like the place. Luckily, the family has a couple of branches in Japan.
