Late Night Eats at the Mark; Tourondel Eyes The Hamptons

HAMPTONS— Grub Street learns that chef Laurent Tourondel is in negotiations to take over the Hamptons space that housed Eddie "Jean Luc'' Kleefield's restaurant Grappa. Says LT, "It is a beautiful space...but no deal is signed yet." [GS]

MIDTOWN— New Midtown restaurant Nanoosh gave away free food this afternoon to celebrate its opening. Midtown Lunch as pictures of the madness. [ML]

AWARDS— The Association of Food Journalists announced the winners (finalists?) of its annual awards competition, which recognizes "excellence in reporting and writing in all media, newspaper food section design and content, food illustration and food photography." UPPER EAST SIDE— Jean-Georges Vongerichten's new Upper East Side hit The Mark just launched a late night menu in its lounge.
