Foie Gras Protesters Pick Another Unlikely Target: Raoul's

New, 5 comments

Perhaps because the tepid showing this weekend at Per Se didn't make the impact they were hoping for, the vegan tormentors/protesters for The Animal Protection and Rescue League will strike again this week. The new victim: New York classic Raoul's, which now sells a marble of Hudson Valley foie gras
with ramp marmalade. The group has informed the restaurant that they will be outside picketing tomorrow. It's doubtful they'll get much sympathy from the restaurant's legions of fans, but hey, it's easier than chaining yourself to a McDonald's entrance or sending nasty letters to ConAgra and BP, right?

Last week's announcement of the Per Se protest spurred a pretty heated debate in the comments. Feel free to voice new thoughts on the issue below.
