EAST VILLAGETaureau, a new BYOB fondue spot from the chef/owner of La Sirene in the West Village, has opened on 127 East 7th St.: "the small, skinny space is decked in white and red, spotted with two-person tables and set up for serving one food and one food only: bubbling cauldrons of cheese, oil and chocolate." HAMPTONSThe Advocate talks to the three men who recently dropped $17 million to buy up a major commercial strip on Fire Island and reveals that the owners of Bridgehampton's and Manhattan's Almond are coming in to revamp the faded Blue Whale restaurant with a fresh seafood menu.
