Here, now, another look around the dining room of Ma Peche, chef/restaurateur David Chang's major entree into Midtown power dining. The sprawling Town space has been completely redone by designer Thomas Schlesser (Bar Boulud, Publican in Chicago), who created a spare dining room created from eco-friendly materials.
It has an 85 seat dining room with that massive ex-shaped communal table, a modest sized bar—cocktails will differ slightly here from what's been served at the mezzanine for the last six months—and a major highlight for any The Royal Tenenbaums fans, Miguel Calderon's painting "Bad Route." She opens to the public for lunch "sometime this week," dinner in the near future. See earlier coverage for a look at the menu. Coming up next: a little Milk Bar eye candy.
