Here's a bizarre item from this weekend's Post: Pulino's chef Nate Appleman was surrounded by three cop cars, cuffed, and arrested between shifts on Wednesday afternoon for carrying a pocket knife. The chef tells Eater the cops told him he'd be in jail all night, but thankfully he was out in just a few hours ("Luckily I got a phone call and I made the right one"). As for the knife in question, he tells the Post, "It's a pocket knife that's two inches long that I used to cut boxes at work." He was charged with weapons possession and must appear in court later this month.
Nice to see our boys in blue are working so hard to keep Bowery 2.0 safe.
