Part two of the three part restaurant complex called Cienfuegos is ready for its close up. Owned by the people behind Mayahuel and Death & Co., Cienfuegos encompasses a sandwich shop Carteles (already open), a rum bar directly above it called Cocteleria at Cienfuegos (officially opening tonight), and a huge sit down restaurant next door styled after an outdoor Cuban plaza (a few months out).
Just as Mayahuel down the street focuses on all things tequila, the 50 seat Cocteleria serves a sprawling menu of rum punches created by cocktail maven Charlotte Voisey that can be ordered in four different servings sizes ($13 - 100). To eat, a smattering of Cuban small plates featuring empanadas, tamales, cubanitos, and sloppy joe sliders. To get in, enter through the sandwich shop.
