Akhtar Nawab Confirmed OUT at Month-Old Zengo

As rumored yesterday, chef Akhtar Nawab is already departing the month old Midtown fusion behemoth Zengo. It's no surprise that he's leaving. The match seemed a little curious from the start. But, leaving just a mere 24 days after the restaurant's debut? At least Ryan Skeen usually gives it four months.

From the press release, "Akhtar says, 'It's been great collaborating with Richard. I am thrilled with the successful opening and I wish the entire team the best.'" If PX This' intel is correct, he's moving on to a downtown Mexican restaurant that sounds a lot like La Esquina.
