Why Susur Lee Doesn't Wear Shoes in the Kitchen

New, 4 comments

Without giving away the ending of last night's Top Chef Masters episode—like Bravo did prematurely—it must be said the Shang's Susur Lee was the star of the show. He nearly lost it when he (spoiler!) didn't win the quickfire, said the judges may not "understand culture," and told a competitor after tasting her dish that "anything tastes good when you're hungry."

The best though was Bravo's little bit about how he doesn't wear shoes in the kitchen. Lee explains: "Being a chef is like a ninja. You have to be so fast, so quick. And you have to be free. I feel like a kung fu master." Said one of the other chefs, "What's wrong with him?"
