Bar Paya, the new Peruvian restaurant next to 2nd Avenue's Winebar has been abuzz with construction workers for the past month, and a peek in today reveals its almost ready for its debut. Workers on the scene say the restaurant, which comes to us from the owners of Winebar and chef Matthew Kenney, will open Friday night. The contemporary Peruvian menu will include ceviches and small pizzas, or payas, made from corn and potatoes. Meanwhile, it's decorated with photographs, all taken from Peru, including a few of some llamas!
To compete with Winebar's front patio, Bar Paya will have an expansive outdoor space, scheduled to open next Wednesday.
