3) Greenwich Village: From the tipline: "You know that place on Bleecker that used to be the indian bread co, then in reopened as a short-lived something else indian bread related? Well it is about to reopen as a new concept that seems like it is going to be indian too (not sure if owners are the same). They've finished any major construction and are now putting in wall hanging and other decorative stuff. The design is modern, and they seem to be borrowing some bollywood motifs, there's a big quote about bollywood along one wall." [POST-PLYWOOD]

4) Midtown: From the tipline: "I just finished interviewing (via a placement service through the NY state labor board) for a servers position. The owner is taking the old Oceana space. He wouldn't talk about the menu but said that it was different than anything else in the city. He said that he was bringing in a named L.A. chef to work on the menu and would have a chef here doing the day to day cooking who has a following as well. He hopes to start all the work in about a month or so but said that the lease is with the lawyers now." [PRE-PLYWOOD]

5) Prospect Heights: Fork in the Road brings word of a new country-themed bar from the owner of Beast, to be called the Branded Cattle Saloon going in at 603 Vanderbilt Avenue. [PLYWOOD]

6) Bedford-Stuyvesant: The Brooklyn Paper reports that a new Italian restaurant from David Seatts (formerly of Tavern on Nostrand) is headed for the corner of Stuyvesant Avenue and Macon Street. [PRE-PLYWOOD]

7) Park Slope: Brownstoner has more Slope news, this time about a new bistro, Le Bistro de la rue, opening in the old Moutarde space on 5th Avenue. [PLYWOOD]

8) East Village: EV Grieve delivers a few more tidbits. Mainly, that the David's Bagels space on 1st Avenue near 14th is becoming a Mexican restaurant, and that the restaurant taking over now-defunct Shiki on 1st Avenue between 8th and 9th has a name (Cotan). [EVG]

9) Morningside Heights: Grub Street reports that the Columbia University area will be home to Mel's Burger Bar and a Maoz Vegetarian. [GS]

10) Williamsburg: A tipster reveals that there's still a long way to go at the Radegast expansion. [PLYWOOD]
