Although newish FiDi restaurant Sho Shaun Hergatt in the Setai condo has received plenty of accolades for its food, the grandiose, second floor, pre-recession (or even pre-millennium seeming) setting has not been met with a chorus of raves. But that's not stopping the new developers of the Midtown Setai condo/hotel mashup from taking a similar route when it opens this November. From the building's fact sheet:
The Setai Fifth Avenue’s second-floor restaurant will compete with New York City’s finest, featuring a sophisticated, casual vibe and showcasing cuisine of the Mediterranean and Riviera. There will be seating for 160, plus a private dining room.Place looks massive. And a separate bar "promises to generate a buzz among after-work urbanites."
