Odette Fada, the executive chef at the seven month-old SD26 and San Domenico before that, is leaving the restaurant, reports Diner's Journal. One of New York's preeminent female chefs, Fada was with the restaurant for 14 years and saw it through its transition from Central Park South to the Flatiron by cooking in Italy and learning from chefs abroad during construction time. She was also the master of the restaurant's most famous dish, the uovo in raviolo.
Her chef de cuisine Matteo Berganini will take the reins when she leaves on May 3.
