The former Los Dados space is about to get the Meatpacking makeover that it always deserved. A tipster with a finger on the pulse of the MePa tells us that Derek and Daniel Koch, the brothers responsible for the bacchanal brunches where guests danced on couches and sprayed each other with champagne, have partnered with the Ginza Project (the owners of Russian restaurant Mari Vana) on the soon to open MPD.
The restaurant will be French and they are hoping to attract customers away from the very successful Bagatelle/Kiss and Fly operation around the corner. According to our source, Ginza is sinking approximately $500,000 into the project, but it is way behind schedule. The goal was to open at the beginning of spring before the Koch's loyal champagne sprayers departed for the Hamptons, since they were unable to secure a venue for their Day and Night parties. Get the rose ready!
