Baohaus to Launch Crackhaus; Cheese Factory Coming Soon

FLATIRON— Flo Fab announces that a cheese factory is opening in Craftbar's building at 900 Broadway. Beecher’s Handmade Cheese will open next February, feature a wine bar and a cheese cave, and sell over 20 varieties of cheese. [Diner's Journal]

LOWER EAST SIDE— Feast reports that the owners of new and popular hole in the wall sandwich shop Baohaus have signed a lease on a full sitdown restaurant space on Orchard between Houston and Delancey. The new place, scheduled to open on May 13, will serve reasonably priced "American Born Chinese" fare and will be called Crackhaus. Community Board 3 must be pretty pleased. [Feast]

MIDTOWN— The first feedback on the friends and family lunch at David Chang's Ma Peche, per Pat LaFrieda meat man Mark Pastore: "Momofuku Midtown (Ma Pache) for friends and family. AMAZING PORK RIBS! Dave this will be a awesome edition to the empire of the peach !!" [Twitter]
