It was rumored earlier this week that the former Hope Lounge space in Williamsburg would be taken over by an unnamed Lower East Side bar. As usual, the first guess is normally the right one, as a group of owners of Libation on Ludlow—the bar that made the LES "extra sucky"—will be heading across the river to open GoodCo. Libation owner Stephen Maly has been pointing his Facebook friends to a GoodCo page updating the construction progress. But for those worried that Libation's special kind of fun will be crossing the river, the construction photos showed a subdued design with a lovely garden. Opening looks like it could happen in a matter of weeks.
