Mister Softee, the New York institution that is "as synonymous with New York summers as open fire hydrants," has taken the concept global by bringing the ice cream truck to, of all places, China. Sales have doubled in the cities of Suzhou and Taicang every year for the past three years and they're planning on expanding to even more Chinese cities. [NYT]
