MIDTOWN— Tis the season for outdoor imbibing, so let's welcome the Sky Terrace at the Hudson Hotel to the dance floor. The space is on the 15th floor with wrap around views of the city and Hudson River, and re-opens to the public for to hotel guests, Global Card holders and a hand selected list of VIPs this week with a new cocktail menu. Meanwhile, Grub Street reports that Press at Ink48 recently opened for the season and the Marriott Fairfield Inn and Suites will be debuting a 5,000 SF ultra lounge on the 33rd and 34th floors sometime later this spring. WILLIAMSBURG— The BillyBurg is getting a dose of the LES, as it's rumored that management from an unnamed bar on Ludlow will be taking over the former Hope Lounge. More hints: the bar serves food and charges a cover. Our guess is Libation. [Downtown Diaries]
NOHO— Mike's Apartment isn't just the coolest place in New York, it's also the best place to shoot your viral music video. An inside source tells Eater that honky rap duo 3OH!3 used the Noho loft for a video shoot and Atlantic Records paid for the booze and clean-up. However, our source stressed that no one got paid for the night. The song is pretty, um, special, but it does show some quick clips of debauchery. [EaterWire]
BATTERY PARK— A boozy bathhouse of debauchery? According to Grub Street, Serge Becker may be moving ahead with plans to open a giant basement bathhouse on Varick Street near the Holland Tunnel. Although Becker hasn't confirmed the rumor, it seems there is a building with construction underway, so it's probably definitely maybe going to happen. [GS]
MEATPACKING DISTRICT— There's drama at Provocateur after a somewhat dubious report claimed the new venue in the Gansevoort hotel was having financial trouble. According to Steve Lewis, the problem stems a poorly run door and a scorned writer with an ax to grind, which makes sense to us, because from what we hear, the club has had an extremely successful opening, attracting large crowds drawn to its thumping house music. SOHO— Crucial update - Trump Soho is selling Trump Vodka. [NY Barfly - Twitter]
