Weird promotion today for new Village restaurant Otarian

WILLIAMSBURG— Fork in the Road learns that Allison Kave—the founder of First Prize Pies—and her mother Rhonda Kave—owner of Roni-Sue's Chocolates—have launched a new outdoor food market outside of Fatty Cue, where Rhonda's son Corwin Kave works: "It began last Sunday, and Rhonda Kave tells us that it will keep going indefinitely -- or at least, one assumes, until the cold weather sets in. And if anything can make the wait for a table a bit sweeter, it's pie and truffles." [FitR]

FLATIRON— The new branch of Grimaldi's along with a brick and mortar location of the cupcake truck Cupcake Stop will open on May 7 in the Limelight Marketplace. [GS]
