The Discovery Channel and a Tale Of Two Blarney Stones

The Daily News tells the saga of the Blarney Stone near the World Trade Center that had run into financial troubles, was "overrun with termites", and was basically falling apart at the seams. Lucky for owner Joe Keane, a new Discovery Channel show Construction Intervention made the Blarney Stone its first subject and gave the place a top to bottom renovation in just four days for free, helping increase business by 10 percent. Meanwhile on the other side of Broadway, another Blarney Stone has gone the opposite direction. After being shut by Court Order, the FiDi dive bar has officially gone on the market.
